The first look at Honda’s new Urban Utility Vehicle

Honda Japan has released a new small SUV called the Vezel.

This vehicle is scheduled to hit the North American market by fall 2014. It is unsure if the same name will be used on this side of the water.

There is a hybrid version which utilizes the same instrument panel and technology found in the 2014 Accord Hybrid. The gas/electric features a 1.5L high-combustion engine with Honda’s i-DCS (intelligent dual-clutch system) that will deliver amazing projected fuel economy. You can also get the hybrid model equipped with a brand new type of electric all-wheel-drive system that will save on fuel and provide added traction for those with outdoor lifestyles. Can you believe it? AWD and hybrid in one!

The non-hybrid model will feature Honda’s new 2.0L high combustion engine found in the Accord Hybrid, following Honda’s Earth Dreams expression and commitment to the environment.

Inside, we can expect technology like never seen before. Honda’s bluetooth phone, text, and music streaming will be standard with add-ons like Siri eyes free, phone mirroring navigation, and apps for Iphone and Android to connect with social media or get the latest weather updates.

Watch the video below for a walk around of the Japanese (right hand drive) model.
